Job Title: Production Supervisor
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Manufacturing Manager
Basic Function: Supervise and coordinate activities of production workers to provide quality finished goods to our customers. Ensure work instructions are up to date and write and update instructions as required.

Departmental Responsibilities:
- Establish schedule for weekly production.
- Supervise daily activities of production employees.
- Meet on time delivery, quality objectives and production goals established by management.
- Ability to use ERP software for inventory movement and control.
- Communicate with sales, warehouse, quality, maintenance, and shipping
Global Responsibilities
- Communicate with manager in the areas of staffing, production, and schedules. Keep manager posted of potential problems including staffing, personnel, and parts shortages.
- Set up assembly line for production.
- Attendance – exceptional attendance including being at work before the shift to ensure employees are on the job and ready to begin promptly at beginning of shift, after lunch, and breaks.
- Monitor and document productivity – verify hourly production rates are accurate and monitor employee performance to ensure rates are met. Track daily production in area for immediate feedback to employees and management. Document production and turn in daily to manufacturing manager.
- Document employee performance. Use this information to evaluate employee performance.
- Develop daily / weekly production schedules. Monitor schedule to ensure customer orders are timely.
- Work order interpretation and reporting – learn bill of material and accurate work order reporting.
- Report scrap daily.
- Ability to read blue prints to ensure accurate assembly.
- Label boxes- ensure all product and components are labeled properly with accurate counts.
- Train employees as required. Document on training sign off sheet.
- Keep production area clean, neat and organized at all times.
- Verify employee time through payroll software.
- Perform duties as assigned by management.
- Ability to learn opening and closing procedure for plant. Includes turning on / off alarms and air compressors.
- Evaluate employees and provide annual performance evaluations for employees
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Train workers on procedures and operation of equipment.
- Set up machines as needed.
- Requisition parts from the warehouse.
- ISO 14001 – maintain environmental standards for Hansen International

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years’ experience in supervision and manufacturing
- ERP experience. Epicor experience preferred but not required
